If you haven't already heard, CVS is having a 50-75% beauty sale currently going on. I went to one of my local CVS to see what I can find. I saw some 50% off stickers on some Maybelline, 75% off stickers on L'oreal, Revlon, & Almay items. I didn't see much I really wanted besides a L'oreal HIP eyeshadow duo. When I was walking to the check out, I saw some eyeshadow palettes on an endcap. What caught my attention was the fact the eyeshadows were bright colors. I normally don't purchase 'non big name brand' palettes from CVS, Walgreens, & etc because I've had them when I was younger & the quality was always terrible. I decided to buy this palette anyway. The brand is Color Concept & the palette is called Eye For Beauty 50 Eyeshadow Palette. As soon as I got in the car, I swatched some colors on my hand. I was SO surprised at how pigmented the eyeshadows were! I decided to try out the some of the eyeshadows that night & at first, I didn't like how they went on the lid. I didn't think the pigmentation was as good as it was when I swatched it, but it still wasn't bad. Decided to play around with it again & found that using a sponge tip applicator or simply packing on the color on my lid with a finger (using a eyeshadow primer on the lid before hand, I love LA Splash Eyeshadow Sealer/Base) REALLY helps intensifies the colors. I can honestly say I love this palette! Despite, the fact it's a little powdery, I really thing this is a great palette. Best of all, it was only $4.99! When you see this palette at your CVS, make sure you pick one or 2 up (I'm going to pick up some back ups for my kit)!
*Swatches of some of the colors. There is no eyeshadow primer underneath these eyeshadows.
